Howdy From Texas

New member from west texas.....near Lubbock. Drove various chevy vehicles for nearly 30 years, then got my first Ford, a '78 F150 XLT Lariat with a 460 and a C6. Guess what, don't own a chevy anymore and never will again. Been poking around this site after someone on another site recommended I check it out. This place is a wealth of information. Have an idea for a project, so I'll be asking a lot of questions. Basically, the idea is to find or fab a '65 or '66 crew cab and put it on a '77 high boy frame and running gear I have. Have a shop and probably all the tools I need to do this. Have various ford trucks, motors etc. Even thought about putting a diesel in this project. I'm in the vintage trailer restoration business and came up with this build idea to pull my 1965 33 ft. Streamline trailer. My vehicle collection includes a '47 1.5 ton, '63 4x4 step side, '66 fleet side, '74 one ton, '74 ranchero GT, '76 3/4 ton, '77 XLT, '77 Ranchero, '78 XLT, '78 Bronco XLT Ranger and my daily driver....2000 F250 7.3 3/4 ton super duty. NO CHEVIES LOL. Glad to be here.
