I've never seen or heard of the "Big Foot" edition, so I am going to guess that it was a dealer promotional thing. Looks neat, though. Thanks for sharing the old photo!
Working in my familly Ford Dealer in Canada I had the chance to have a customer comes in with the exact same Edition and I have all the Brochure and Poster of the exact same Edition.
I'll attach shorthly the picture of the truck including the VIN.
When I was in Alaska, my next door neighbor was driving around a 79 or 80 F150, that had Indianapolis 500 pace truck graphics. The deal didnt go thru, and he had to return it
My uncle bought the Brown and Orange f250 with Bigfoot on the sides of the box new from a ford dealership in the B.C. lower mainland in 1980 or 1981.
I remember because right after he bought it he had a friend in the excavation business that always bought ford 1/2 tons and carried a Diesel refueling tank in the back and when he put it in his new 1980/81 f150 it bent the frame. Ford drilled holes in their new 1/2 tons frames to lighten the trucks.
when my uncle heard about it other stories were popping up about the same thing happening to others, so my uncle went back to the dealer to make sure his truck didn't have the holes.
