Mounting location for air compressor

I have just installed air bags on my 2015 F350 DRW and looking for a location for the air compressor and control unit for the wireless manifold. Any suggestions? Thanks

I dropped the spare tire and installed it on one of the cross beams above the tire, favoring the drivers side of the truck. It is up and seems to be well protected, no issues yet. Mine is only a SRW but I would think the space above the spare would be similar.

I mounted my system on a piece of sheet metal, then bolted the sheet metal plate to the cross member right above the drive shaft right behind the carrier bearing. Supposedly I'm not sposed to run the compressor mounted upside down but I've been doing it since 2007 with no issues.

Mine is above the spare as mentioned above. I ran the intake tube with it's small filter up between the stake pocket and daylighted just below the bedrail.

I mounted mine above the spare as well. The brilliant folks made the compressor wire too short just like the brilliant folks that designed the upfitter switches. With the fuse in line I have five splices.

I think accountants are in charge of designing the wiring.

I made brackets and mounted my compressor on its side under the truck on the passenger side. The compressor is pretty much under the passenger seat and the 2.5 gallon tank is behind that. Fit's great and works great!

Lets see some pics of these. We are looking into upgrading to a 5th wheel, and air bags and compressor (with tank) are on my list to look into. A while back someone had posted his and he had added a tee so he could use the tank for air up tires and such.

Here is a link to my write up...I used the Viair 10007 system.

This is the other one I did on the 6.4L I had. I failed to put the air chuck pics in the 6.7 write up, but in the same place to use for airing up floats and tires.

I would put it inside under the back seat if cc version. I did this on our 04 to keep dust dirt and snow out of compressor

I always install my air chuck next to the rear license plate. It's convenient for reaching all the trailer tires and also for airing up stuff like tractor tires/bikes too, I just like having it in such an easy place.
