AMI billet fuel door

After schenanigans with Worthington Ford in Anchorage, AK (HORRIBLE and may they rot eternally) I had my DEF system fault corrected by a nearby dealer under warranty. I was spooked about the possibility of fuel or DEF vandalism (given the $3-18K fix) and ordered the AMI locking fuel door from Amazon. Installed in eleven-teen minutes. Super easy with perfect fit. I highly recommend...

I put the chrome one on and also changed out the lock. The standard lock is a universal RV industry CH751.

Seriously considering one of these! Trying to find a stainless one, but liking the standard brushed aluminum!

Since my door handles are white I think I would have to go with that color.

But I have the white platinum so that would be hard to match without a trip to the paint booth.

Wonder how it would look with black?

I think you would get used to it Scott but I'm sure the bare metal finish would look better. I bet you could rattle can it to look decent with any color, like a tan to match your seats maybe? At first I hated the way the matte finish looked on my shiny black truck but it went away, I need/want the locked door more than I need it to look nice.

It does stink that the key is ch751 but I figure if someone is that industrious when doing thievery or vandalism then I will lose anyway. But yes, the cylinder would be very easy to swap out.

Scott, I also have the white platinum and I'm thinking the metal would look better than the black.
