I removed my batteries yesterday to clean, add water, and clean terminals. My passenger side positive terminal is hanging on by a thread. I wasn't sure how it was constructed so I cut off the plastic support to get a better look. Is there a standard, accepted replacement for this?
I cut the round part of the OEM terminal off and then removed the screw from the remaining flat part that the two cables connect to. Drill out the hole a little bit bigger so it goes over the stud on the new terminal and then slip the 3rd wire, and any additional wires you need on there and tighten down.
