Waaazzaaaa from ATL

Wazzaa to all enthusiasts here. Im Jorge, from atlanta ga (originally from PR). I got a nice little 97 Mazda B2300 with over 200k miles, got it last year and its been a great purchase. Recently I changed the dual coils and replaced the sparkplugs and wires, PCV valve, thermostat housing and other minor things. Its running like a champ, I still have some work to do on it, but looking forward to getting down and dirty on it. My to do list consists of: purge valve replacement, catalytic converter assembly, heater control, and currently im working on changing the timing belt. I had a few concerns now that im here, maybe some of you could shed some light on my doubts. The belt snapped while i was close to home (lucky) near the parking, took a while to figure out it was the belt since it snapped in a way that you couldn't hear it rattle, my concern with this is that the timing gears may be un-aligned, and I dont know what to expect once I manually align them and put the belt in. Any advice or insight of what I can expect going into this?
