2010 F150 5.4 fuel mileage?

Looking at one of these to drive daily. It's a 4x4 5.4l. What kind of real world milage can I expect?

We put 90,000 miles on a 2005 5.4 with 3.73 gears. Most of this was 10 miles a day going to work on back country roads. Got about 11mpg on average. Highway was about 14-15 on a good day.

Mid teens but driving styles and area can make nearly a 10mpg swing. I've gotten as low as 12 and as high as 18-19. Usually runs around 15-16 though. Mine has 3.31 gears and larger tires so it is effectively something like 3.00 gears.

Bought my 2010 5.4 about 2 months ago. I drive about 30 miles a day on rural roads and I average about 19-20. I have 3.55 gears and stock size tires

I have a supercrew 4X4 with 5.4 and 3.55 axles and stock 20's with Toyo Open Country ATs. I have recorded every tankful since new and in 73,459 miles I've gone through 4,933 gallons of regular gas for an overall average of 14.89 mpg. I've noticed that my mileage has decreased slightly since we moved in closer to town, but overall still better than I expected when I bought it.

I drive a 2010 5.4 Screw Lariat 4wd and get 16 combined (hand calculated) on pump gas and 12.5-13 on E85.

I'm in the middle of a 3-tank back-to-back-to-back comparision of E-85, E-10, E-15

three tank average on E-85 was 13.8 mpg by hand and 14.2 on the dash.

1/2 way through the first tank of E-10 and I'm at 17.2 on the dash. but a lot can happen in the next 600ish miles. we really haven't had any wind yet.

i'll report back if you want.

I've had my 2010 FX4 5.4 for three years now. Calculating at fill ups by trip milage and amount of gas added back to full, I consistently got right around 15 over a whole tank (36gal) with mixed highway and city driving.

Two months and about 5 fill ups ago I switched out my factory motorcraft air filter (had been on for 69,000 miles, I don't think previous owner changed it) for a K&N and I have gotten from 16.5-17.5 on the last five tanks.

Hard to tell if that's due to it being a clean filter or a K&N, but for whatever it's worth...

I've gotten 18+ hwy with my set-up, 35s and 3.55 gears. I'm fixin to take a highway trip to the shore soon and I will calculate it again just for giggles. I found it will get about what the sticker said it would. And fwiw not many would recommend a K&N any more
