2001 4x4 Excursion front leveling? Tire size?
I would like to leave the vehicle as close to stock height as possible and acheive any lift with tires only.
This brings me to leveling the front with the rear and squeeezing as lage a tire as I can after that. Has anyone accomplished this and how large a tire can I run at that point? Who makes the product? Is it a harsh ride?
I've also noticed people talking about the super duty front spring accomplishing this. Any input or part and application #'s?
Please experienced answers only. People who have made the swaps and their result. Tha,ks, Greg
I`ve got pictures up on the Superford.org. site. Look under MONGO. There is some pic`s that show the foot print and clearance I`ve got. I havn`t been able to get them in my gallery here because of size problems. I`ll get it figured out yet.
Are the 4x4's able to use a taller/wider tire that the 2x2's???
By my calculations, Thats a 32.8x12x16!!!!!!!!

Thanks. I think the stock rims are 7-1/2", I might be wrong. The guys at Discount tire said they would fit. When I went in ,he had these rims(MB Motorsport 16X8) I realy didn`t care for them but for $65.00 a rim ( list was $169.00) I said I would take them.
I`ve had no rubbing anywhere, any time. I`ve hit some good bumps while turnning both ways, nothing.
The 305-70-16`s Nitto`s are 33-12.5-16`s.
As for the what a 2x2 can run, somebody else has got to help you on that one. I havn`t got a clue.
Hope this helps.
