RESULTS: Definitely more exhaust tone/purr at start-up and idle. At WOT the raspiness that was present with the 5.0L exhaust system is gone and while there isn't a bark it is noticeably louder. At highway cruising speed you can now hear the exhaust (with the radio off) - not loud, more of a background, low, mellow purr.
COMMENTS: While I knew it would be an easy install (all of the mounting points are the same and would slide-in) I didn't have access to a lift so I had it done at an exhaust shoppe just to eliminate the handling/extraction/install hastle of complete, non-cut-up exhaust systems. Since the Raptor exhaust was a *new*, no/low-miles take-off system, I expect that the tone will deepen as time goes along just like the original exhaust system.
I'm satisfied with the mod'. And I'm unanimous on that. I did it for the sound and cosmetic factors and knew that there wouldn't be (and didn't expect any) performance (HP and/or MPG) gains. +(plus) the co$t was reasonable:
$50 for the exhaust system.
$20 for the reducer.
$7 for the band clamp.
*The ceramic coated matte black stainless steel tips were an unnecessary 2for bargain extravagance that I found ($120 for the pair).
The requirements were...
no cutting of any OEM components.
no welding.
all components must be stainless steel.
EPILOGUE: Sorry ... Homely don't do Vid's (nor FaceSpace, MyBook, Twitter, IM, text, Skype, etc. despite being in IT for 30+ years).
.
Looks great...however a sound clip WOULD be nice for those looking to do that same thing. (You know you are going to be asked for it regardless of you preface of not doing them, especially being in IT for 30+ years you should be able to do it in your sleep...lol)

Here is a short video with a Raptor exhaust on an Ecoboost.

Man, you lucked out on a take-off system for $50. On the raptor forums, guys wanted couple hundred bucks. Decided to just go with a Borla S-type instead.
Matte black tips look great! Add some black wheels and you have one sinister looking truck
Robbgt - OFF TOPIC:
Damn, that is one good looking Panther! Is that a Marauder??? I can't tell from this angle.
Long story, short ... Was looking to buy a Marauder in 2002 when they 1st came-out. Because of the amount of miles that I was driving, opted for a 2003 Crown Victoria LX sport that over time I Marauder-ized ...
Installed the Raptor exhaust on my 2014 E.B. Limited today. I can't tell a lot of difference in the sound. The dual exhaust tips look good though.
That's how the Limited should've been equipped. That looks really nice! Hell, I *might* not have gone to the Borla S if it came like that. However, I do like the sound of the Borla a bit better (IMHO).
How is the drone on the system with the non-resonated pipe vs. our stock resonated system. I'm just curious as I added the Magnaflow cat-back with dual stock exits (very raptor like in appearance) but it retains the factory resonator. I am very happy with the sound/lack of drone....but have wondered what it would sound like non-resonated.
