New guy here
If you have the stock exhaust, the y-pipe is a common replacement to cut out the most restrictive stock component. The stock exhaust looks like a damn pretzel, you know that can't be helping anything.

00-04 Aluminized Y-Pipe [SU0004AL] - $89.95 : SPD Performance, For all your performance needs!
5 Star Tuning is what I gather to be the most popular tuner for the V10 around here. SCT Tuners have a good reputation for Ford Super Duties across all engines, and custom tuning from 5 Star paired with an SPD y-pipe should make a noticeable difference. They sell them together for a reason

First of all, thank god you bought a PI headed 2000+ V10. If you had a '99, you'd be stuck with very poor mileage and even worse HP/TQ.
Exhaust is one of the better things you can do for a V10, along with that Five-star SCT tuner people in the V10 forum swear by. I personally had a diablosport predator that sucked and had limited parameters. If you have 3.73 gearing, 4.30s get the rpms up where they should be, enhancing your driving experience a bit by multiplying torque a little.
Don't bother with a CAI or even use oil/cotton type air filters.
If you're lucky, you may come by an old Kenne Bell roots blower on ebay. I had one on my old V10 and the HP difference was astounding, but the MPG loss was disappointing.
Other than these, there isn't much. Some stuff from 5.4 and 4.6 engines cross over to the V10 realm. I know of one guy in my circles that has a centrifugal blower for a 4.6 on his V10 using a rising rate FPR to boost fuel pressure and it seems to work. He uses a custom made very small pulley to get boost early on in the RPM range and it's wastegated to atmosphere to control overboost pressures above 8 psi.
The V10 is a bit of an "unsung hero" of the HD truck world. Early on it got a bad name due to its low output and poor gearing of the early ('99) V10 SD trucks. Later on, when the HP was increased due to PI heads, many people purchased the V10 as a bit of a cost savings choice instead of the much more expensive diesel alternative. In it's final form as a 3v V10, 365 HP was achieved, and if the V10 would have continued to be produced when variable valve train and gasoline direct injection systems became mainstream around 2011, I have no doubt that the V10 could have achieved high teens MPG and over 400 HP and 500 ft.lbs. of torque.
I really did like my V10 when I had it, even though it was extremely underpowered. Some dyndo claims put the pre-PI headed V10 at under 150 rear wheel HP and under 235 ft.lbs. of rear wheel torque. I believe those estimates fully. Later iterations, as covered above, were much more powerful and reliable.

Looked at the door jamb. Shows 8/99 mfg. Paperwork said 2000. Driver's side valve cover has a sticker that reads 854 07-13-99 68L
