Looking for place or places to get some reasonably priced lowered from and rear shock complete set. Truck is lowered 4 1/2 front and 3" in the rear....
I think Mid Fifty sells short shocks? Don't have time to look right now.
Most equate "reasonably priced" with off the shelf mass marketed garbage. Might as well leave em off IMHO. You need to spend 120 - 200. each to get a quality shock that actually works properly.

Perhaps for a race car but not for a cruiser truck. I ran mass produced garbage Monroes and Gabriels on both of my trucks and they performed quite well.

Vern, what is your reference for evaluating your shock performance? The highly unreliable and biased Butt-o-meter??? Have you ever driven it or any vehicle with a properly valved set of shocks on it for comparison?
Next to the springs the shocks are the most important part of your suspension, and get a heck of a more intense workout on the street than on any racecar on any race track. Since very few people understand that and/or what the shocks actually do, those manufacturers you mentioned make millions selling pure garbage to the public. Ignorance is their (financial) bliss. Did you know the boxes cost them more to make than what's inside? What they are selling is equivalent to a tire manufacturer selling you a set of new tires where all 4 are different sizes and at least one leaks air, and all 4 are of such poor quality that they will wear out in a short time.
I don't sell shocks, so I have no dog in the fight when I say there is a real difference. I find it almost incredible that people will spend multiples of dollars more on a set of wheels that make no difference in driveability or safety, but won't spend an extra few hundred dollars on parts that will.
Sooooooo back to my original question. Not looking for the best shocks available for my weekend cruiser or anything like that. I do agree there is a HUGE difference in some higher end performance shocks, but that's not what I'm looking for at this time. Got ALOT of other things I need to buy also for the truck. I was looking at Summit shocks or something along those lines. What is the stock length ext and collapsed?
Both my trucks are lowered at least 3 to 4 inches and I am using stock 48-52 rear shocks. Depending on where the lower shock mount is put you may not need shorter than stock shocks, mine have plenty of throw both ways. My front shocks dont apply since I am using a Jag IFS on both trucks. There is a monroe or gabriel shock reference book online that I downloaded, it lists all shock part numbers with end styles, overall length at full extension and compression, etc so I am sure you can find something to work. I used the book and it showed my stock shock was fine.

Ax, I'll have you know that I have the best butt-o-meter around these here parts! My butt-o-meter says that these mass produced garbage Monroes and Gabriels that I used on both of my trucks performed quite well for my general use and I would recommend them to anybody building a cruiser.
Save your hard earned cash for something you really need. Don't go out and spend it on pricey shocks!
Your lower shock mounts may not be in the same place as mine, I made my mounts.
One of my trucks had longer than stock rear shocks which made me think that stockers would not work..looked up what should of been there and it did not match up to what was on the truck.
Rear stockers are PN 32207 which are 11 1/4" compressed, 17 3/4" extended, with 6.625" of travel.
Here is the link to get the monroe book, do your research and you can find something that will work. The last pages of the catalog explain the codes for the different mounting styles.

This monroe chart may help you in determining what you might need.
This may or may not be of some use to you, but I used it to determine shock length and mounting style for my truck. Since everything on my rear suspension is fabricated, stock shock dimensions wouldn't have been of much use. I'm not promoting any brand of shock so if you want a different brand just cross reference the monroe number to the brand you want.
My '54 is lowered 3 1/2" in the rear and I run Monroe 555003 shocks (I only know this, because I just replaced them). I am not sure what I am running on the front, but maybe I can find out in the next few days.
