need help figuring out the 429

i have a 429 i would like to build if i can not sure what it came out of had a fuel injection of early 90s would like to know what i can do with it what is different with it if it is from a medium dut

Define "build" .

You are probably going to be able to use the block and oil pan. Medium truck motors usually have small valve heads, different cranks and drive set ups, and different front covers and bells.

will i be able to put a normal crank from a parts catalog in it or are the snouts different

Truck snouts are larger, so you can use the block, but front cover, heads etc all need to be changed.

Is this a free or low dollar motor? If not, pass. 460s are like sand at the beach, best to start with one of those for a build project.
