429 SCORE!!!
Found a big block 429 today in pieces, but complete. Also scored a C-6. Best of all, this has the D0VE C casting heads!!!!! It's gonna be a fun build

kudos on the find! just bought basically the same thing for my 79 2wd shortbed project its also 1970 vintage came with c6 also priced rite a 200 clams! i have visions of alum heads headers holley 4bbl etc!

pressure washer and some easy oven cleaner.
Easy oven cleaner will clean this up pretty good. look for cracks and stuff. It will turn the block black then use a water hose and you will see the magic happen. scary simple. sodium hydroxide is the trick. eats the rust not the cast iron. need to get the heavy stuff off first.
