So like I've said before I just bought a 1965 f100 it's relativly stock except for the engine, vin says it should be a 6 cyl, from what I was told and can see it has been replaced with v8 I'm told a 390. Not sure how to tell exactly unless you measure the cylinders. It appears that it still has the stock 3 speed column shift tranny, is that to much power for it. As long as the engine remains stock with no performance parts. I also have to get the RPM's up real high to get the thing to move. Idels fine just doesn't hold power to move unless the RPM's are up more so than normal driving and if I slowly apply power it stumbles and sometimes dies. It's been a long time sense I've worked on automotive stuff thanks to the military. Just looking for ideas on what deriction I should go, I plan in rebuilding the carb any other places to check would be great advice, it has a brand new cap rotor points and condenser as well
