buying another econoline on thurs, haven't seen it yet in person but already agreed on a price and seller is happy its going to a collector. an extended clubwagon E250/350, have to see the VIN to figure that one out. the price is right
I have an 88 E350 diesel with duals and same identical wheelbase, was a former ambulance. has sleeper bunk from a highway tractor on it and a beavertailed 5thwheel flatbed.
if the body on this new one is good enough it will be swapped over .
then raised roof off my E150 ext put on. or a rooftop mounted fold out tent for me and the Mrs. and bunks inside for the kids. woohoo.
want to keep the duals and stick on some flares of some kind, has the hypermax turbo, but planning on replacing engine and trans with a different healthy 7.3 IDI and E4OD from a 93 Ford F350 parts truck.
we will see how it goes.......................

Man, when I got to the "has a hypermax turbo, but" part of your sentence I was getting ready to call dibs on the kit.....then I kept reading.
I actually blew a trailer tire on the way home, about 1hr45min from home. had spare and socket for nuts but I cleaned out the back of the Van on Sunday and didn't have my jack or bar to turn the wheel nuts off with. so I went home and going back to change tire, and bring it home. an extra 3.5 hrs driving but.................hey it was my mistake. I've had the trailer for 19 yrs and this is the first flat I've ever had. was even thinkin gof changing the tires as the tread is getting down almost to the wear bars. OOPS
shart happens.
It is better than I was expecting so its all good . I just hope nobody steals the winch off the trailer. was pretty lucky where it blew, was a section of road that has a service road to farmland right beside the roadway and I pulled it off there and left a note on the window.
an interesting day for sure, and now back to trailer.
got it home, took a couple pics but too tired to bother downloading. I had to make an emergency maneuvre to avoid a little car that pulled out as I was driving by a gas station half way home. was doing almost 50mph, all lights on, no idea what the driver was thinking other than "oh shart" .
felt kind of lucky the tire went earlier as if would have blown in my swerve, definitely would have rolled trailer and possibly me with it.
always good to keep a horse shoe in that dark place until its needed...............................
its going to be a while, might not get into it until the fall. downsizing my toys in the summer, picking up a bronco in the next few weeks. been looking for 2 yrs for the right one, and funny enough its the one I saw first 2 yrs ago, seller sold it to his son now son is going away to college........................ up for sale again.
borrowing the money for the bronco> downsizing to pay it back
so I will only be keeping 3 Eseries:
1989 E250 clubwagon xlt 7.3/E4OD
1986 E150 shorty > will have 89 Red Xlt interior and 460/C6 when complete.
91 E350 clubwagon (silver one) on 88 E350 dually ambulance chassis.
I would love to put this body on my 2003 E350 diesel clubwagon chassis but wouldn't be able to tell if it fits until I try it
