I have a 03 F150 with 4.6L Titan mobular V8. Have a Spectre cold air intake, economic throttle spacer and a Flowmaster muffler with no tailpipe. Just wanted to know what ideas ya'll had on how to gain cheap and easy horsepower. The only thing I pull is a 17' skiff but with it being fiberglass, I can def tell it's behind me when I'm taking it to the water. Help me out yall.

"cheap easy horsepower".. good luck. your best bet will be a custom tune. if you don't consider that cheap then you're out of luck, and from there it's adding internal parts and/or boost.

I was thinking of just like a programed chip to just plug in for some quick easy performance and make it run more efficient. Any ideas or sudjestions?

 

box tunes (superchips, hypertech, etc) will get you minimal power gains, but driveability will improve from the transmission tuning. had a superchips on a 5.4 i had in a super duty and that was my experience.

a custom tune will get you a little more. when i do eventually tune my current 5.4 it will be something from 5 Star Tuning, who comes highly recommended from many on this forum.
