OD cancel switch not working!!!!
My my this is frustrating. The other day I was doing a lot of in town driving. Everytime I got in the truck I would turn off the overdrive. After about a hour or so, the button stopped working while it was in drive. I could shift to neutral and then turn it off/on, but not while in gear. The next day I get in the truck, and the button doesnt work at all. I checked all the fuses and all of them were good. Is there a way to check the switch? Has anyone had this happen to them? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
BTW it is a 1994 F150, 5.0, 4R70W trans, 2WD. Thanks again.

OD cancel switch not working!!!!
The switches go out periodically. To remove it, you need to pull the little cap off the end of the shifter. And the lamp assembly slides out.
$15 at the dealer.

If you look at the shift lever, on the back side of it is a verticle opening that you can use a flat screwdriver to pop the top off and the "off" switch slides out. No need to unhook battery.
