ESP for new 2015?

I am in the final stages of buying a 2015 6.7. When I went into the room with the the fellow who will try to sell you all the after sale stuff like paint sealant and magic coatings (which I always refuse), but he had me confused on extra warranty.
I know that these are expensive trucks to fix should something go wrong.
The factory 3 years 60000 km warranty covers everything and after that the engine is good for 160000 kms.
But he is telling me the turbo is not covered after the 3/60000? I have told him I am not interested in a 3rd party warranty so I am pricing the Ford plans.
Is he correct about the turbo?

6 years 200 000 km ESP Premium care is $5140.00? Wow.
I have noticed these plane are less than half this in the U.S. Why is Canada priced so high?

On my 2015, I have yet to purchase an extended plan, only have 5,000 miles on it. When I was closing on the new truck, my dealer that normally matches the online guys prices gave me some attitude so I didn't buy it from them. Now I plan to wait until my 3/36000 is close to being up and buying from the online seller that lets you pay over a year for free.

Also when you buy something new, there is also 2 to 3 diff. sales taxes applied. Bought a valentines day card in Montreal and the taxes dam near doubled the price of the card.

Just bought a '15. Mine was even better, fella was pretty sure the PSD engine was no longer covered after 60K miles. I just politely nodded and didn't start an argument. I think their spiel was a 6/100K bumper to bumper for around $3400. Just browsing Troy Fords ESP's I see I can get 8 years 100K miles for well under that price.

AS for the turbo unless something changed, and I doubt it, it is covered with the engine. The warranty manual should say for sure. I had a few things on our 6.4L like turbo and belt tensioners go out before 100K and they were covered back then.

This guy called me today and told me some parts of the turbo are covered and others aren't after 3 years 36000 miles.
I have no idea what to believe now. I'm getting the truck on Saturday so I need to make up my mind.

Unless it is a Ford warranty I would pass on it regardless. If it is a Ford warranty then you have up to the 3/36 to purchase it and maybe even after that. Remember the longer you wait you may have to pay a little extra ($100?) and/or get it inspected by a dealer first. I looked online and you should be able to get a 7or8/125 Ford warranty for somewhere around $2000. If your dealer can't come close to that then just tell them you will purchase it elsewhere later.

I have read in this forum that Canadians can buy their warranty from a US dealer as it is good throughout North America.
Is there truth to this rumor?

Incredible.
That plan is $5930.00 + $593.00 tax here.
I gotta look around.
Troy? He is a dealer I assume?

He will no longer sell warranty to Canadians due to pressure from Ford of Canada.
I guess paying $1800 for this $4400 6year/100k warranty is not going to happen.

Try Flood Ford and Ziegler then... And there are still others out there that might...

I would pass on spending $6k for an extended warranty at purchase time and take my time looking around. It isn't like you are haggling over $100 - $200...

Heck if you want, I'll call my Alaska dealer and see if they would sell it to you. Even at there original asking price it is still WAY cheaper.
