I chose to caulk under the gasket despite not seeing that in any of the UTUBE videos due to the roof material being disfigured and the holes left from vent. Going to water test prior to real rain event just to be sure. Unit was from a freinds old pop up. It is a Coleman mach 3 and must be from the 90's, but it is actually quieter than my factory unit. Best part? It blows cold air.
How are you controlling the thermostat since the ceiling is so f'ing tall? I am going to put one in the garage but the ceiling controls will be a pain in the *** so tall.

I keep a ladder in the garage for the kids to get to the top bunk anyway. But, as was just said, you can buy a unit with a remote t stat.

Final round of mods for mine. I am happy with the way it works now, just needed a few more running gear improvements for peace of mind. New Sailun tires, Morryde HD shackles and new LED taillights. Tires get mounted first thing Saturday.

Those shackles are on my list. I love beefy suspension parts.

Don't forget the steel high pressure steel stems on the tire mount.

The shackles are serious for sure. Cannot wait to get that project done with. I'm not in love with the trailer up on blocks. The originals have 3k on them and I guarantee the bolts will fall out of them. I can see gaps around the bolts where they are wallowing out already.

Steel stems are a must. Really should have had steel stems from the factory. But it didn't. Will certainly feel better with these tires on. Now I just need figure out how to recalibrate the TPMS for the higher pressures.

I know it's not really a trailer mod but I have been struggling to figure out which way to go. I was either going to get an improved pin box that was like a MorRyde or a rubber mount. Decided to stick with stock and improve the hitch on the truck.

I was running the 16K Reese Slider that was working but was rather unnerving going down I-40 in OK. Found a fella selling a 25K Air Ride Hitch.

Now I get to fine tune it but this I feel will be NICE!

Got the suspension (mostly) done today. Shackles and bushings were cake. Getting the bolts back in the front spring hangers was a nightmare. I don't know what is crooked but they fought me out and in. Did finally get the both in, but not before I had to take off a few of the locknuts to try to readjust the front axle. Trying to track doen a few new ones now, as they don't lock anymore. Equalizer bushings were completely shot, spring eyes had holes in them. 3300 miles. Shackles weren't as bad as I thought, but getting loose. Some beef

Equalizer and old bushing

New tires are on the wheels and bolted on the trailer. 1 wheel bearing is a bit loose for my taste so it's still up on blocks. Hope to get that adjusted tomorrow.

Sly - That's a hitch design I have never seen before!

Scott - glad you got that job done.. Mine were just as bad as yours. Some of the shackle bolts were also grooved from the shackle - indicating a less that optimal hardening...

Taillights done! I'm very happy with this mod. I've always questioned if people could really see the taillights in the daytime. I hit the hazards with one set of LED's on, and one factory light. In the sun, no you couldn't see the factory light.

You had a single oval and now two circular. How did you cover up the gap between the new circular lights?

The old light was a surface mount.

Big ugly and ineffective. Only 4 screw holes and 1 pass though hole for the wires. All those holes are hidden behind the new lights.

Ah, got it. All mine are cutouts on my toy hauler. I think I prefer surface mounts.
