nice job! i'm looking to do something similar that will be a little taller. i'm thinking it'll be the same height as the third row folded down. this should allow for it to function as a sleeping platform also.

I like that idea! I will have to fold mine down to see how far off it is.
Quite shoddy workmanship to be fair. I could do better but that wouldn't be right. How about this:
You ship that to me and I keep it. You make another one for yourself and we can pretend that it is better and this was a trial run. Win-Win... I'll PM you my address

I don't think it will fit in your Prius or Yaris you will get when you get rid of the Ex you are supposedly so fed up with........
I'll throw mine on here too, sorry if it's intruding on your thread. The back is angled to match the 3rd row seat, only problem with that is if you want to lay the back of the seat forward, you can't as this is in the way. I have to tilt the whole seat forward and then lay the back down. This thing has the deepest drawer on the bottom, it goes further forward as well as rearward to match contours again and maximize space. It is bolted down using the cargo tiedown mounts. It's the same height as the window sill and yes it covers the jack access, so the jack now rides inside of the spare. (along with an extension cord) I didn't want to take up the whole floor in the back in case I haul some taller stuff, and the spare is still accessible this way. This also means that i don't need to open the driver door to pull any of the drawers out. I've now got hooks on the side of the cabinet which are useful for hanging grocery bags.
