I've been lurking on here for some time due to plans to trade up to a 250. I've noticed two subjects that keep coming up, one is resetting TPMS alarm level. The dealer did mine for me before I took delivery, two techs said it couldn't be done the third said he'd give a shot (thanks to a persistent salesman) while we were finishing paperwork he came in and said he figured it out, he could go as low as 30psi what did I want it set at. Taken care of. The second is the key in ignition dinger, I found today there is a lt. blue with grey tracer wire that can be unhooked to silence it. If you take off the shroud on the steering column, on the left side below and in front of ( towards front of truck) the turn signal lever there is a connector with 6 wires in it. It has the afore mentioned lt blue/grey wire in it. it could be clipped, I went to the pain of unhooking it as I was still fishing for the right wire. I've been for one short drive to be sure nothing else was affected, the seat belt still scolds you and it dings if you leave the lights on. My new ride is a 15 crew cab XLT FX4, 6.2,Bronze Fire. Only had it two weeks but liking it so far. Traded in an 11 F150 screw xlt with the ecotooter. Jim
Look in your owners manual on my 05 you can turn off the seat belt chime with a series of ignition key cycles and button pushing. maybe this can still be done on the newer trucks or it might be in your driver info center. If you just wear your belt it also goes off but it was driving me nuts while hooking up the trailer, or dropping a boat in the water when you by yourself and in/out of the truck.
