Hey guys, having trouble with my truck, obviously lol.
So i have been fighting a rough running, missing problem. My truck started running rough one day on the way home. I got it scanned, it showed injector contribution balance 1&2. Made sense to me that it threw those codes. I replaced 1 and 2 with oem replacements. Got that all done, truck still ran like crap. I changed fuel filter with motorcraft ones and drained the water separator. That didnt help. I am lost. Any advice or things to check? I am getting it scanned again, so i will have codes shortly.
Also, for a while it would run with absolute no problem. It was intermittent like that. Run bad run bad run bad and then one day run flawlessly. I though it was electrical. Checked all the common places for chaffing, saw nothing. Even did the wiggle test while it was running, no change. But it hasnt been intermittent for a while now.
Get a diamond eye turbo back with the cat delete pipe and if you ever come across one you should bolt her in there when the time comes. Easy peasy lemon swpqueezy. She might be a bit loud but there are cats out there from those deleting them, just takes time.
How does that help him solve a missing issue? I would check your ficm/injector worrying over really well. Also check your ficm voltages to make sure it is performing well.
Right? Damn people lol. And my ficm is strong. Never goes below 48v. And I guess it wouldn't hurt to look over it again. Btw, I have a scan gauge to monitor my PIDS
Monitor ICP and ICPV at KOEO, Low, High 2500 rpm steady watch ICPV volts could be the connection . at the grey clip that holds the three wires together for some ODD Reason it shorts out there. also look for oil out the back of the sensor and in the connection. If things check out then will go to plan 2
I checked icp volt key on engine off already. I had a .23volts. Sensor does not have oil on connections side. I saw no chaffing of wires. But I suppose it could still be bias.
I forgot about this. Something I'll be driving it I'll have decent throttle response. But other times I have be floor board and just to get any sort of speed. You hear the engine trying to build power, boost is there and all. Feels like something is clogged. But it occasionally does this.
OK and your seeing the ICPV steady right ? not bouncing around like speedy Gonzales in a pin ball machine , Lets go a little further Have you pulled the EGR Valve? these get sooted up if not cleaned every so often, MAP follow the map hose down to the Intake there will be a threaded Nipple that gets Clogged make sure the Intake hole is clear too and check the hose for splits , EBP and Tube make sure the tube is not restricted and the sensor hole is clear , IAT2 while your in there cleaning this will be sooted as well . I use some carb cleaner on the EGR and IAT2 but not on the MAP and EBP sensor.
OH and ware your safety Glasses that stuff burns like if you can post some Values on these before and after maybe we can decipher which one's are giving bad reading.
I am pretty sure the volts are steady. I'll check again and let you guys know. I have pulled the egr, it wasn't dirty but I cleaned it anyway. And I'll clean the ebp and follow the map hose. And I post the values later if I get around to it
