87 E7TE HEADS

Any value in keeping these or scrap them? I put a set of GT40P heads on and getting tired of tripping over them.I see a lot on ebay for sale but not much money in them.Probably have more in shipping than they are worth,Thoughts?

If they need to be machined before use, they probably don't have much more than scrap value. With all of the new aluminum heads being sold these days, there are a lot of the old E7TE heads for sale cheap on CL.
If you're going to try to sell them, CL is the way to go. Like you said about EBay, shipping cost would be more than the heads.

The E7TE heads are extremely under rated. Aside from the GT40 heads in the Cobra and P heads in the later Explorers, they are the best flowing Windsor head Ford produced. If someone wanted cheap hp, this is the ticket. I agree, stick them on craigslist. If they're in good shape, someone is bound to want them.

Yup, theres a reason they ran them for so many years on so many vehicles. I also say throw them on CL. I just listed the set off my 351W on CL for $75, but no bites yet...

If you wanted to practice porting, now would be a good time as well on those heads.

I have sold a set for as much as $30 lol. No they really aren't worth anything even in running condition. Considering you can get a whole explorer motor with GT40 or GT40P heads for about $300...nobody really wants these anymore.

They make good door stops, boat anchors, and that is about it.
