fuel issue ??
I have a 2002 f250 7.3 diesel and just started having an issue. The truck starts fine and runs fine for a short time (minutes), then acts like it is out of fuel, rough idle no power no acceleration with throttle. After a short while (minute?) it works fine as if no problem. Any ideas???

Is your fuel level above 1/4 tank? If not there are issues with the pick up and screens in the tank. Does it run well the rest of the day after the warm up period? If so it may/may not be a problem with the EBPV

Your oil level may also be borderline low. If this is the case, the cold start will give you a thicker oil to pump which means it will not flow back into the sump as easily. This could potentially allow your low pressure oil pump to be temporarily starved for flow until the oil gets hot (thinner, more easily flowing) and can maintain your sump level more easily.
Just a thought. Easy to check and either verify or rule out.
