So i've got an '05 King Ranch with 160k I recently bought. It would drive fine around town but as soon as you hit the interstate for a few miles it would get hot until you slowed down. Had the egr cooler deleted and the old one was bad. Problem is that it's still doing the same thing. Get on the interstate or beat on it a little and it goes from normal to near red QUICK. I can slow down or east up and it'll drop back down. No, it's not losing any coolant either but the other issue I've noticed is that the heater isn't blowing hot. I installed a new thermostat but that didn't help. ideas?
