I am about to cut my cowl vents open and repair the rust holes and stop the leaking into the cab. I guess my question is do I really need that much cowl vent? Can I maybe make them smaller when I weld them back in? I dont have a problem with alot of rain my issue is alot of snow and ice build up.
I have the same issue with my 74. The inside of my cowl is rusted and leaks in on my floor. My truck is not an AC truck but i put an aftermarket AC in it. When I get it working right again I am going to fill my cowl with expandafoam until I can fix it right.

Not a good idea, anytime, anywhere, for any reason on a motor vehicle.
