need some VINS deciphered to see what actual came with my trucks

133 6BF 101 2 4 G025


-1972 f250

131 u F250 1 4 G38


I know hat some of the numbers mean but not all

The same people do, but for some reason, they use separate domain names: .com for '67-72 and .net for '73-79.

that web site said I have a 3.00 gear ratio that's small in my opinion/ unless i'm a complete idiot and can decipher anything worth a darn

Geez Louise, what a mess! Some of the codes were out of sequence / 1973 MODEL code missing the F / trans/axle codes typed together / some of the codes are missing.

Where in the sequence of the Warranty Plate does 6BF belong?

F25 = F250 2WD

Y = 360 2V

K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant.

N66688 = 1972.

131" Wheelbase.

U = Lunar Green.

F25 = F250 2WD .. 7,500 lbs. GVWR

1 4: 1 = No such code as 1 / 4 = Styleside Pickup.

G = C6.

38 = Dana 60 Rear Axle / 3.73-1 / 5,250 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

7,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

yeah I wrote them down wrong and didn't go back and check, the axle number off the 73 f100 is 02J - which from what I found is ford 9" with LSlip with a 3.00 ratio, the color code of the 73 is 6BF

No it isn't.
COLOR code contains a single digit or 2 digits if tu-toned.

1959 thru today: If the AXLE code begins with a letter: Limited Slip / If with a number: No Limited Slip.
