6B is the COLOR
The F is mis-stamped, it's supposed to be the 1st digit of the MODEL code: F101
Color info & DSO code edited into post 12. When you typed 101, I noticed you omitted the F .. Now I see why.

For 1973:
6 = Bright Medium Blue
B = Light Blue
Looks like they made a typo: "6BF 101" should be "6B F101" - F101 is the Model (F100 2wd pickup)
Edit: Ah, I see we were typing at the same time. Bill already told you that. Oh well.
