One of the seatbelts in my 2000 E-150 seems to have become jammed -
or something. This is the part that connects to the wall, not the
part that is attached to the seat.
When left slack, it hangs somewhat and does not fully retract. And
conversely when trying to attach it, it does not fully extend.
I imagine that it must be some easily fixable jam, like maybe it's
tangled internally or something.
Questions:
1) Is my assessment accurate?
2) If so, how does one access the interior components of the
mechanism?
I don't see any apparent way to remove the wall trim and Haynes does
not cover it.
3) Suppose I brought it to a body shop, how much would they likely
charge?
