Air governor
I'm just about at a dead end. I need a Bendex air gov. type O1 I think.
the kind mounted on the fire wall. This type, kind of dissapeared in the
early 1950's.

Pretty sure that illustration is hydraulic brakes.

I had to figure out where to look. 
Left upper and right pics: Found the following in Text-Section 29. There's no pics shown in the Illustration Section.
Left lower pic shows a pic of the governor and associated parts. Since there are no Ford part numbers listed, just Bendix part numbers, there's nothing that I can do for you.

AIR GOVENOR
A D2 later style governor can be retrofitted , some are mounted on the compressor but can be mounted remotely. These can be found at truck shops and can be bought at NAPA.

Yes thats exactly what I did - mounted it on the fire wall where the old
one was used same fittings and all is well. (we have plenty D2's on the
shelf)
