2001 f150 engine code L to Different Model Engine code L Vehicles

I Have a Bad Motor in my 2001 f150 extendcab 4x4. I Know the motor is Bad Because I accidently ran it out of oil. Like a Fool.... But thats for another thread.. lol so i know that the truck i have now has the PI heads I Have another 5.4 in my sights that has 166 thousand miles and its out of a 1997 expedition so one of the first 5.4s i think .they want 400 dollars and say it suns good. what do you guys think?the motor that is in the truck now has 188 thousand. but can i do an egr delete.? I am planing on doing the stainless steel header bolts and headers of some sort but i am worrying about compatability and how tight the fit is. So i think i will go check out the motor this weekend and doe a compression check anyone know what psi a 97 triton 5.4 should be at? thanks
