240 i6 clifford 4 bbl conversion help

Trying to figure out what is what. On my Single barrel carb there is a line running to the exhaust mani ib tge top left of the pic.. What is this for? I have a 1404 Edelbrock to go on the carter and no clue where this line would even remotely go.

That's manifold heat, it works the choke.

Are you using an adapter or a 4v intake manifold?

That tube pulls out of the exhaust manifold, pull it out and plug the hole.

Save the tube, they are getting hard to find.
