Since we are discussing interior, I've installed weatherstrips on both doors. Can you guys tell me how you stripping is folding when you close the doors. Mine want to fold flat to the front and bottom then compress on the top and rear. I would think it should compress on all sides but I have to tape it to make it fold correctly or my doors bind and become hard to close. I should expect some resistance but not the amount of binding I'm receiving. Hope I made myself clear.
Where did you buy your weather stripping? LMC? I bought mine from Dennis Carpenter, and it is hollow instead of solid. No problem with how it seals. Doors shut easily. Fairly nice quality, but a little flimsy.

Yes, purchased from LMC and it is hollow. I'm interested to know how yours folds when you close your doors. Does it fold in different directions or compresses equally around the door. I'm gonna check on carpenters weatherstrips.
My weather stripping seals uniformly all the way around. I thought they might be leaking, as it has been raining so much lately and my new carpet has had some wet areas. Today, while it was really pouring, I checked for anywhere it might be leaking, and ended up laying under the dash with a flashlight. Found a few places where water was dripping from way up near the cowl. Old shrunk up seam sealer.
Water intrusion in these old trucks seem to be a bad problem. I think the only reason my floors weren't rusty is that this truck was from a very dry climate. I hope I can get all the leaks stopped, I'd hate to have to pull the dash to take care of this problem. Dallas gets a lot more rain than Barstow. (hijack over)
