Ruby Red Color Difference

This is a question for all the 2015 Ruby Red owners out there. Does your Ruby Red truck look different from other Ruby Red Ford vehicles ( Escape, Taurus, Mustang, etc. ). I have 2 coats of wax on mine and it really shines. My work friends were all out in our lot looking at my new truck and noticed that the paint looks different from other Ruby Red vehicles on our lot ( Ford Motor, Beech Daly Tech Center ). We think that it could be the primer they use because its aluminum. Either way I love it. Does anyone out there have any ideas?

It's going to be interesting to see how close the RR paint on my fiberglass cap is going to match the truck. Also if the third brake light on it will mess up the trailer towing system making it think I have a trailer behind me all the time.

My wife has a 2014 RR edge and it's a slightly different color than my RR 2015 truck. The dealer told me they added a little more pearl to it and it's a little darker. It really glows in the sunlight!

Put a coat of Turtle Wax Ice on it. Makes it look like the old Candy Apple Red from when I was a kid. I love this color. Thank you for buying American, Thank you for buying Ford.

OK I'll do that... Wasted 55 years and spent a lots of money waiting to finally get my dream Candy Apple Red vehicle. Well ok I did paint the tank on my 1963 BSA Candy Apple Red. Now I can die happy!!!
I haven't driven it much as I just sit here on the porch and look at it all the time.

RM, I do the same thing out my upstairs bedroom window. I see that you have the Ford spray in liner. Isnt that just the cats ***. Well worth the money I think. Plus it goes great with the Ruby ( Candy Apple ) Red.

Would like to see the 2014 and 2015 side-by-side in the same light (preferably outdoors).

So far I like the liner except not happy about the strip on the tail gate where they didn't put any.. The big test will come once I have the cap on and my wife on hands and knees climbs in there to pack everything for a trip to the cottage. I'm worried her knees are going to come out all bloody..

My cottage is just down the road (M55) from you in East Tawas area. Saint Helen used to be really neat,, I remember at one time everyone having nice Artisan fountains but I think they used up all the water as last time I was there I didn't see any. I have sailed my little Sun Flower sail boat in the lake.

Yeah it use to be real nice back in the day. We ride our motorcycle to Tawas and Oscoda all the time when we are up there. Lake Huron is a great area. Bruce

I have ridden my Sporster to Saint Helen, it really sticks out in my mind as I dumped it on one of the gravel roads when I was making a turn and ran into a lot of loose sand. I still remember the bike just stopping like I ran into a brick wall and I couldn't react fast enough to power out of it or get my foot down in time. But I prefer staying in my area up there making rides to Sand Lake or up to River Drive etc. I'm on Tawas Point about a 1/2 mile South of 23 on Baldwin Resort Rd.
To keep on topic we will have to compare our trucks someday.

According to the online paint charts, 2014 Ruby Red, 2015 Ruby Red and even 2016 Ruby Red are the same color. They are all Ditzler/PPG replacement code 931662.
