Replace my inner outer tie rods along with the drag link on my 95 f150 4x4 only to discover that the inner tie rod is a lot longer than the old one I pulled off. The old one was modified quite a bit, it looks like it was heated and bent in such a way that it shortened it's length. I put the new one on hoping I would have enough adjustment but was wrong and ended up with a severe toe out issue. I decided to cut a little off the inner and outer tie rods to make up the difference (1-3/4" total) and still have a 1/2" toe out . Looking for some help here

sounds like you just got the wrong setup.

 

I did double check with the auto supply store they said it's the right one. I guess I will check another store.

 

if it doesn't work, it doesn't work.


is the truck lifted? have a huge pitman arm? anything different in the truck vs stock?

 

The truck is stock. I was thinking is was in a accident at some point and they modified the old inner tie rod to compensate.
