My radiator is overflowing as soon as i Shut off The engine, barely Made it off The freeway as it Got To The red, "ENGINE" indicator turned on. Drove 3 miles from last Stop To Let it cool. Loud bubling fizzing Sound and vibrating! Any advice appreciated To help me fix her and get back home.
I'm pretty sure bubbling noise and pressure in the over flow is blown head gasket, take it with a grain of salt because I'm not there to actually look I suggest stop driving it to prevent any further damages
Saturday morning I pulled The thermostat and it seemed To Run cooler than normal ot. Drove To repair Shop and Had thermostat replaced and coolant flushed. Drove 70 miles fine.
I started it up this morning and 5 min later it started To overheat. I Let it cool a couple min and it ran just fine. Later that day it Did The Same thing.
All gaskets Do leak oil on outside and rear Main seal oil/coolant.
Should i get it fixed or replace Motor?
$700-$1000 repairs all gaskets, block bolts & oil pump.
How does the radiator look are the fins clogged or atleast have debris in them. Try flushing the radiator fins. It also the water pump might not be cooling enough or the internals might be going bad. It might also be there is a air pocket in the system.
I think that the motor is heating up faster then the thermostat. Perhaps the old thermostat seizing blew my head gasket? The radiator does not circulate until thermostat kicks in but heater works.
