2006 SD PSD and the ESOF has not worked in some time. Been getting out and turning the hubs manually but they became too stiff so I recently replaced them.
Searched to find the vacuum leak to get the ESOF working again. Everything checked out fine using the Mighty Vac until I got to the right hub which will not hold vacuum. I can here it leaking in the hub every time I pump the Mighty Vac.
There is an o ring on the inside and a gasket on the outside. The both need to be replaced. Be sure to lube the o ring properly. Check out the tech folder, there is a write up. It's the top subjects in this forum.
Three parts, bearing o-ring, hub o-ring and the axle seal that seals around the stub axle. All can be had at Advance Auto, buy online and use code trt30 and save 30%. The axle seal takes a special tool or you can make one from a piece of PVC.
