That would NOT have helped me if I was the one who overpaid. I also see a lot of overpriced used rigs and I'm certain that most of them overpaid from the get go and have no idea that their used price is higher than what someone could go buy a brand new one for. It's a dirty industry when it comes to sales...
There needs to be a TrueCar.com for the RV industry..... I got totally screwed on a Class A that we bought back in 2000. I won't go into all the gory details but I ended up having to give it back to the back in a voluntary repo and had to pay an additional 30k over time to get out of it. The sticker price was 132 and we thought we had gotten a good deal at 120. It had 4500 miles on it when it went back to the bank and still had the wrapping on the seats and floor protector plastic on the carpets - it was like new but fraught with electrical and water leaks along with the Cat Diesel consuming coolant. Altogether we lost about 70k on it..

Painful story Randy... I guess we all have to learn the hard way from time to time. Like the idea of an internet based research firm for RV's. Partners?

Nice looking rig Wayne! Love the colors on the truck...
My truck is similar and looking to change my decal colors on the RV to match..

How would we get started? With my luck, TrueCar or NADAguides or someone like that would swoop in and steal the idea after we put a ton of effort into it...

I have to imagine that the inside story on the markup is pretty tightly held... There are lots of dirty little secrets in the car and truck sales world that are just finally coming to public light. Hold back and things like that...

I just built my trailer on that site Randy. I paid about 6 grand less than what they are saying dealer cost is so I guess it's biased high there too. My trailer was a special order so I'm sure they weren't giving it to me at under cost...

Well, tomorrow we are upgrading to a 5th wheel.

Picked up a Mountaineer 324RLQ.

So, I'll be stopping in the towing section for some tips and tricks from the pros here!

I'll post up a picture tomorrow.

Here is a picture of our 2008 Sabre when I got it out of winter storage and back home. We will be trading this off in another week so I will be posting pics of the new one when I get it home.

Trading it off on a new 2014 Wildcat 317RL. It is a carryover from last year so I got a great deal on it.
