My 2012 F250 4x4 78,000 miles has started getting the death wobble. Never experienced it with any of my other Super Duty and I can say it suxs. For the guys that have had this how did you cure it? Any help is appreciated.

Maybe a little detail on the wobble would help... smooth road, how fast, after hitting bumps..etc.. ?
The first thing that comes to mind would be bad shocks or wheel bearing... maybe. Have you jack the front end and check for looseness in the tires..
The first thing I would do is jack up the front and give each tire a spin and see if one or both tires are round, no lumps or bumps. Then look at the tread and make sure it's true, no waves in the tread when the tire when you give it a spin. If you see a problem in either one replace them.
The 1 tire is just slightly chopping but no worse than any other truck that I have had, So I guess it's time to to replace and align the truck to start.
It's just strange that it happens in the exact same spot on the Interstate where there is a curve in the road and slightly rough. Then the truck front starts to shake violently till I slow way down.
Had the same problem a few years ago on my 2000, rough spot in the road and it would shake like crazy. Left front tire was bad, replaced tires problem was gone.
Have you done anything to the suspension such as a lift of any kind? After I watched a video on the importance of caster I believe that has more to do with it than anything. These guys had a vehicle with death wobble bad, they would drive it and induce the death wobble. They then increased the caster and could not induce death wobble. They even went so far as to loosen the track bar and still could not get it to go into death wobble. I lifted mine three inches and added two degrees of positive caster. Drives like a dream.
I know everyone has their opinion, this isn’t mine its just a video I watched a while back when I had a jeep, they are known for death wobble. So if you don’t think this has any merit don’t attack me, I’m just offering it as food for thought.

I started having death wobble occurance 2 years ago ,with my 235/80r17 winter tires . Always happening after hitting a good bump . Problem disappeared when I went back to my 275/70r18 original tires, which later I replaced with 285/75r18.
Last winter ,wobble came back with my winter tires. It disappered when I switched to my 285s.But I began noticing a bit of wandering and steering play.I had to replace a track bar ball joint. It corrected the wandering and steering play. Can't tell if the problem are the winter or was due to the track bar joint.Or if the wobble damaged my track bar joint.
If I would have known about death wobble before buying my truck,I don't know if I would have bought a super duty.
My truck is all original,2011 f250 camper package, 70 000 km.
If all else fails, READ this - I put one in my '08 after many hours of chasing, trial and error, parts and adjustments with no resolution. This kit fixed it and it never came back! It works for both stock and lifted trucks too...
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to put new tires on and get aligned and see if that takes care of it. I post back after it's done and have a couple weeks or so on those.
I chased death wobble on my stock '11 F350 CC LB 4x4 6.2l for half a year at about your same miles. New tires, alignment, shocks. Mechanic at dealership suggested a dual steering stabilizer setup. I felt like it was a band-aid didn't want to go there. Finally gave in a year and a half ago before a big towing 2 week trip in CO. Bought a fairly cheap dual steering stabilizer kit ProComp, less than $200. Completely fixed the problem, and no adverse effects.
Have had multiple SuperDutys, this is my first that has death wobble. But at least I got an easy fix.... eventually. I also noticed my stock steering stabilizer was worn out, replaced it with a bilstein. Like I said, here I am a year and a half later, never a single occurance of death wobble. And I drive fast, haul big trailers, ......
