Flywheel interchange
Ok, so I started dreaming of how I wanted to build this truck, 80 F-100 shortbed, when the neighbor came over and wanted to buy it the way it is but with the good motor installed. He is a very good friend also so I shot him a price and he wants it. So I have the old motor out, 302 28oz. balance C-6. The motor I have for it is a 302 50oz. balance roller cam motor. I need a flexplate that is 50 oz. balance that I can bolt up to the C-6 torque converter. Is there a factory one that will work or am I going to have to use aftermarket? Looks like everything else that I need will transfer over.

You don't need a flywheel with a C6, you need a flex plate. Ford changed the balance on the 302 to 50 oz/in in 1981, so all you need is a post 1981 302/5.0 flexplate for a C6. BTW, 351W stayed at 28 oz/in balance.

Thank you, I changed it to "flexplate" in my post but it wouldn't let me do it for the title, I knew that, I guess it's just habit. Is a flexplate for the 50oz. A common part for the C-6?

All the 4x4 f150's with the 3 speed automatics had the c6. So if you get one for a 4x4 with a 302 and make it around a 84, it should give you what you need.
Looks like Autozone # FRA-231 might be the one you need. They have to order it, they don't keep it in stock. They cross reference it to Ford part number E1TZ-6375-C
