Can you elaborate on this issue you're describing with the power steering pump that "slides over"? That doesn't sound normal to me. I'm betting your power steering pump bracket is broken. That's not uncommon on these, unfortunately, so if your pump is moving, I'm betting that is the cause of this whole issue.

The hole pump isn't just the shaft where the pulleys one they say I little bit is normal and when I bought another pump from the wreckers had the same amount of play in and out

So the pump doesn't move, just the pulley and shaft slide in/out on the pump? I only ask because, like I said it's not uncommon for the pump bracket to break and then the whole pump gets all whopper-jawed and doesn't mount up straight.

P/S pulley is pressed on too far. Use a puller/installer tool to pull it forward. If you use the Harbor Freight tool or one similar (IIRC, the FLAPS loaners are similar), you should be able to do it on the truck; just go a wee bit at a time, and eyeball the position of the pulley relative to the other ribbed pulleys by looking from the driver or passenger side.

Agreed! The tip of the power steering pump shaft should be relatively flush with the hub of the pulley, not protruding like it is in that picture. You just need to do as Pogue has suggested and use the remover tool to adjust the pulley on the shaft. Whoever installed that pump must not have had the right tools for the job because with the installer tool, I don't think you could push it on there that far.

Alright a mechanic told me it might be the vacuum pump bringing the belt over but I dint just want to go ahead with replacing 200 dollar pump and a buddy has a puller I'll try it... I did a bad fix for now just cut on Rib off my new belt its working mint now... Still riding on the back side of all the other pulleys but the furthest one forward on the power steering

Remove the belt and eyeball it from the side; you should be able to see that the P/S pulley is further aft than the other ribbed pulleys. It's unlikely that a smooth pulley like tha vac pump pulley would pull a belt out of line, unless it's mounted in a way that the pulley is angled relative to the others. That's very unlikel with the vac pump pulley, give the way it's constructed and mounted. Again, eyeballing it from the side would tell you that.
