Anyone here have any experience with the Wicked Wheel 2? Specifically, I'm looking to know by approx how much it would lower the EGT's in our trucks and whether or not its a worthwhile investment.
Can it be installed without removing turbo? I'm not sure if it can or not, as I've never really considered replacing the wheel.
It's not going to be a drastic drop in temps.
I don't think it would be worth it. You'd get better results from a intercooler
If you need to change the wheel use this one.
Thanks for the replies. I kinda figured the turbo would need to come off. Would be a good time to also do the EBPV delete. But I gotta ask the question: what makes the RiffRaff wheel better than the WW2? The price difference is nominal and they both have about the same characteristics.
I swapped the banks wheel for the wicked wheel II, I noticed no major improvements in performance got an extra 4-5 psi of boost out of all the work, If your going to do it eliminate the EBPV and Change the turbine housing that's were the quicker spool and higher pressures come from. I put the banks power elbow on and that was one of the better mods that I did, lowered the EGT, they already have a port for the EGT sensor, eliminates the restriction for the EBPV, and dont forget the wastegate.

The 7.3 in the OBS trucks do not run a waste gate, but the removal of the EBPV is a good idea.
The original Wicked Wheel was a marketing Gimmic by dieselsite.
IT was for SD trucks having turbo surge (pulling to much air to hard)
So the Wicked Wheel was a downgrade for the SD's, but what they never told anyone till somebody figured it out was that it's just a stock OBS wheel.
The WW2 is probably just a custom made version thats a bit more aggressive than the OBS ones.
YOu'd have to look at flow charts to compare them, i dont have them.
Clay's is his own design IIRC.
I'd just stick with his stuff.
To many bad things from Diesel site that are marketing gimmics. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

We told people all the time what it was - it was no secret. Why do you think so many other companies picked up their own version of it? So selling a product that does exactly what we told people it would do is a marketing gimmick now? It was for surge cure and it cured surge. A gimmick would be if it DIDN'T.
Yes - the 2nd version is our design is it ideal for increased benefits for all around performance: bottom, middle, top. We didn't focus on just one area. We wanted the surge cure with the power results we felt were most important and we went through several wheels to test this. The other designs have performance gains in different areas.

4-5 psi and no performance gain. What does that say? That IMO says you need more injector.sure sounds like that wheel did what IT should.
I have no experience with any of this and maybe I am wrong.. S400 ftw..personally the stock turbo sucks and I have no use for it lol
JenC ...ban? Why? Speak truths and I see no reason. Sounds like you speak truth. I got no dog in this fight..

It doesnt matter anymore. Talyn will always have this opinion and it was stipid of me to try and change it. I tried to make a point so he could see his own hypocrisy but it came across as insulting and rude towards Clay and he doesnt deserve that.
Its stupid to think that one wheel works and the other doesnt at all. Its just naive.
Also my ban will happen because where I work. And you cant defend yourself on the forums unless you pay for it!
