I'd have to agree with her assessment. I don't think I could support a product that advocates rolling the paper from underneath.

This is one of the few times there actually is a right and wrong way, and that's the wrong way on that holder because going the pictured way the cut off strip will not function. Of course when was the last time you bought a roll of unperforated TP that required a tear off cutter???

I looked at it and thought the same thing as your wife. Makes it easier to get ahold of when needed.

You don't BUY the unperforated rolls, its a time honored tradition to steal them from the gas station/convenience store/bus station/etc (not as big of an issue as we get older and have relatively decent paying jobs and can afford to buy our own TP)
