New to forum but not to old Fords. My son now has a 1976 F100 Ranger XLT that we are in the process of restomodding. Pulled the motor, cleaned it up, installed all new gaskets, and painted block. Getting ready to install this weekend. Figure I'd go ahead and get on here because something always comes up where you needs several heads together.

My first truck was a brand new 1978 short-bed flareside F100 with the Ranger trim package. (I bet most people won't remember that Ranger was a trim package and not just a compact pickup.) I ordered it with the 300 inch six and 4 speed manual OD trans. It was very economical (and small and light).
