Have 95 eddie bauer .I had to put on a new head on drivers side . ever since i done this the panic alarm goes off every time you use it or when you try to open drivers door .it wont go off if you use the right side to open . they say its the moduel thats bad has any one had this problem.
Could be the module. But I would go over everthing I did to put that head on. Make sure you do not have a wire shorting out or missed putting something back together correctly. You can go to most local librarys and they have all kinds of shop manuels, make some copies of the wiring diagrams for the keyless entry(most librarys will not let you take these manuels home). Try to inspect every wire. Might be worth a try!
Hey there br0nc0.. Sounds like a short in the system. These aren't serviceable items, so it looks as though you'll have to purchase a new one. A friend of mine had the same problem when he did both heads.
He took it to an alarm installation shop to see if they could do any thing for it, but it was too far gone.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.
I have an extra module if you're interested. I intended to install keyless entry and alarm in my 94. Bought both modules from a salavager on Ebay. He sent me two of the keyless modules and no alarm module -- so I'm stuck with an extra. I don't think that they would work in mine anyway -- according to Steve, I need a special wiring harness. I thought that I was pre-wired.
The module is from a Windstar, but they are supposedly interchangeable. I'll let it go cheap. Let me know if you want it.
