Frame/Str. box Flex

I have a '75 F250, 2x4. I have gone through the steering system, all new Moog tie rods, bushings, K.pins, red head box, rebuilt s. column, rag joint, everything. But when sitting and running or not, if I turn the wheel I can see the frame flex at the box, which creates 'bump steering,' very tight, but scary on the freeway.

I also noticed that the oem rivets holding the x member to the frame are loose. I was thinking of removing the rivets and either inserting bolts or drilling the holes out to a common bolt diameter and using grade 8 bolts. Would that work to stop the flex, or should I add a plate and new bolt tubes for the steering box mount too?

Thanks, and photos are appreciated.

Thanks for the photos. I'm assuming I need to do the same. Do you have any photos of the work being done? Every photo helps a bit.

power steering box

not really F250R,its not real rocket science,I heated the top of the rolled frame, and leveled it out to accept, the steel.Had my steel sheared cut, nice squared sides.Placed the steel in place and measured the back of inside frame for spacers.Welded the inside steel with a tack welds and positioned the 78/79 steering box.Marked bolt holes to be drilled, removed steering box and drilled inside plate. Then welded outside plate, and followed thru with drilling outside plate.I did use a reamer to clean holes up,for grade 8 to pass threw and bolt power steering box.Welded everything up solid .Hope that helps
