Recently I noticed all my turn signals work as do the indicator lights. But they don't blink they stay solid. Is this normal for a '77 F-150? It confounds me and surely other people driving behind me.
Has a bimetallic element that heats up as current flows through it, bends and switches off, cools down and bends back, etc. Little round can with a couple pins on it - kind of up behind the headlight switch. There'll be two - one for turn signals and one for hazard lights.
The turn signal and hazard flashers are both up behind the dash above the parking brake lever, like bkaul says.
If it helps, the turn-signal is the shorter of the 2 cylindrical silver pods. O'Reilly has it for about $4, just did mine last week when I was replacing the turn signal switch.
