Rancho dropped pitman arm for a 94 F1504x4
90F3504x4 drag-link (perfect length and fit)
78F1504x4 tie-rod
have it aligned to 78-79 specs
these parts will bolt up perfect, no cutting or welding and NO FABRITECH!!!!!
Yes, it is. The drag link is probably the same for the 86-98 F3504x4 trucks, I just went to Parts America and ordered one for a 90. You'll need the drag-link, drag-link end, and adjustable sleeve. I can't remember if it all came in the same package. I don't know the part number. I have some swap pics in my gallery.
Ok...i just picked up the tie rods....how the heck do these things go together. I'm used to a boot that just pops over the tie rod, but these have a big rubber washer, two flat washers, and a washer with a lip....What goes where?
Its going pretty good....i'm welding on my axle mounts tommrow, i don't have a welder here which really sucks, so i have to drive out to my buddies shop and thats a hour drive. But anyhow...i'll have the welding done tommorow, hopefully bolt it in next week and if the alignment checks out take it back out and full weld everything and put it back in. Long and tedious but i'm going to make sure its done right. Steering got bolted in today, all seems to work perfect. I'll get some new pictures posted tommrow night.
What gave you the urge to use your stock arms? Seems like a bit too much work to weld the arms to the axle (cannot be easily moved). Plus those arms are really short. I'm not badmouthing it but, seems like more work to me (and doing it the way i did it was a lot of work for me)
I'm not using my stock arms, i've got extended arms from skyjacker. I'm just using the stock ones for fabbing everything up. and i'm not welding them to the axle, i'm welding the mounts to the axle.
Using TTB coils, and they'll attach just like the did to the ttb, with a long stud. once i get this all done, i'll make copies of the plans available to anyone who wants them.
