Question Do It Yourself Rhino Lining

I need to protect my truck bed and have decided on Rhino Liners. I'm curious to know if this project is a do it yourself project. I am Body & Paint experienced with all the necessary tools and equipment.
If this is an option, has anyone else applied their own lining? What difficulties did you experience during application?

Hey there mariebbad and welcome to THE FORUM! I don't know how old your rig is, but there is some time consuming prep-work that does need to be done. Along with the manufacturers instructions, some rigs have a coating on the insides of the bed, to protect it, until it gets to the dealership. The dealer doesn't remove it most of the time, because that in itself is time consuming. It took me about a day and a half to get all of mine off. I started with some degreaser and bug and tar remover, but they were too harsh. I ended up doing the opposite and used wax to remove it. You have to use wax remover in the prep anyways, so it's no big thing. Just follow the directions carefully and you'll do just fine. Just have everything you need at hand, take the phone off the hook and turn off your cell. The stuff dries fairly quickly, but needs time to cure. Try to do it in a garage if you can, with plenty of lighting. Use up the entire contents of the can, since it won't keep anyways. Good luck new friend. Talk with you later....

I have used Durabak in my bed. Tough stuff, comes in colors. It is rougher than other liners. Make sure to do good prep.
