I have a 98 F150 and it is missing the female side of the snap that slides into the rail. Missing about ten of them as I did a stupid thing last week going down the road. Ford parts dept says I have to buy a new cover just to get these snaps. Anyone know where I can get a bag of them. Thanks.
Stu
I just bought a bag of snaps and a tool from REI for $4.25. Brand is Lord and Hodge, P/N 1100. It is for camping but I would think they would also work for you. They were in the Backpack section. You might also try Campmore catalog or maybe even JC Whitney has them?
I do not know if the snaps are stainless but they show them being used on boat covers, camper tent trailers, curtains and clothing etc. Worst case you could paint them to match the color of the cover.
